Standard event capacity limits and in-person events can resume, however, McNamara Alumni Center continues to follow the policies issued by the Office of the University President. This includes the most recent directive, dated August 2, 2021, that states: “All students, staff, faculty, contractors, and visitors to our campuses, offices, and facilities, statewide, must wear facial coverings while indoors, regardless of your vaccination status."
The University of Minnesota’s recommendation that University employees work remotely from home is still in effect, although many McNamara tenants are working a hybrid schedule. Therefore, the office building within McNamara Alumni Center has resumed its open hours and is staffed by a representative from McNamara's building management and events team Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Elevator access to floors 2-6 is limited to office tenants.
